Homer Anderson
38473256Staff Sergeant Homer L. Anderson, 38473256 US Army KIA. He was the son of Reverend and Mrs. Deckert Anderson, from Gregg County, Texas. He was also Married. He entered the Army on February 4, 1942; trained at Camp Swift, Texas. He commanded one of the first platoons of men who went ashore in the Normandy Invasion on D-Day, with 146th Combat Engineers. He was Killed in Action on June 10, 1944, around the age of 22. [1]
